Up to 2008, Syscan has applied for 174 patents in different countries, among them 114 patents have been approved. And the value of 19-item patents among them reached 1,486,600,000 HK dollars, evaluated by Hong Kong American Appraisal Co. Ltd. on Jan. 31, 2000.
In the age of knowledge economy with global economy integration, Shenzhen Syscan Technology Co., Ltd. has paid great emphasis on intellectual property rights (IPR). The Department of IPR is established in the company organization structure. And the management regulation of IPR is formed in the company management system. Besides, the company won Guangdong Intellectual Property Rights Advantageous Enterprise in 2005. The Chinese invention patent ZL99120321.6 which titled «portable mobile scanner» won Guangdong Patent Excellence Award.
We have fully protested relevant IRP of our own technical achievements. For example, as to the self-developed Syscan CM, GM 2D Barcode technology and bar code identification equipmentes, we have improved protection tactics on relevant coding, software and hardware design. We have applied for patents in different countries or regions and also have made the computer software registration and the copyright registration. Nowadays, the "Grid Matrix Code" and the "Compact Matrix Code" of our company have been approved to be the electronic industry standard officially by the Ministry of Information Industry and is also being applied actively to be an international standard. At the same time, we still unceasingly pursue the technologies in the fields of 2D Barcode, digital photoelectric imaging and relevant products.
