Experts From Industry Lead Automatic Identification Discussions
Warrendale, PA-February 26, 2008 - AIM Global, the trade association recognized as the worldwide authority on automatic identification and mobility, in collaboration with its North American chapter, announce the agenda for the AIM Technology Leadership Summit April 27-29, 2008 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC, USA.
"This year's theme, Think Forward!, characterizes the executive and strategic planning nature of the event," said Dan Mullen, president, AIM Global. "We??ve enlisted the best of our industry to engage with the attendees in spirited discussions about the future of automatic identification -- where the market is today and where it is heading."
The one-day executive education event will take place on April 28 and will open with round table discussions facilitated by industry analysts Mike Liard, ABI Research; Chris Quilty, Raymond James; Reik Read, Robert W. Baird; Paula Rosenblum, Retail Systems Research; and Michael Wolfe, North River Consulting.
The panel discussions that follow focus on the global state of the automatic identification industry and the opportunities that are emerging for companies that supply products and services within that space. International experts Marcos Honda, ACURA Technologies, Brazil; Ashish Bhutani, AIM India, India; and Dr. Lon Chen, Syscan Technology, China will engage attendees in an interactive discussion about the opportunities and challenges of doing business in their regions.
A comprehensive discussion of the automatic identification standards landscape that includes bar code and RFID will include in-depth status updates and forward-thinking analysis by the industry??s experts: Sprague Ackley, Intermec; Craig Harmon, QED Systems; and Gay Whitney, EPCglobal.
Closing the day will be an interactive panel discussing the business opportunities in select vertical markets, namely: healthcare (Christina De Martini, Zebra), government (Mark Reboulet, Air Force) and retail (Paula Rosenblum, RSR).
