Currently during our touch with clients from civil aviation, telecom and banking industries, we are mentioned to get one computer connected with multiple scanners special for passes in front of every service counter, realizing pass scanning and post-treatment such as identifying. This solution is just mainly to deal with such requirements, decrypted as follows:
1. Prepare multiple computers, one of which as server has no high configuration and is pre-installed with Win2000 Professional or Win 98. The machine is configured with a network interface card, connected through Ethernet.
2. Each client machine is connected with multiple scanners through USB interfaces; USB extension cables (2.5m) may be applied for long connection. Principally more connected machines give slower scanning response time. It is recommended to use client machines with 4 USB interfaces furnished with extension cables so as to get an effective distance of 3.5-4.0m. Each F1531 machine must use different ID number, while drive for each machine shall be installed on the client machine.
3. For each application developed in the client side, the following functions will be completed: (1) multiple FS531 machines are independently installed with keys for automatically scanning ID cards; (2) Scanned images are transferred to the server through network.
4. The following functions shall be realized: after receiving images sent from client machines, the system deliver to identifying software for immediate identification, then store the images and the identification results, and finally automatically save into database.
